Pastoral Enterprise Grazing Management

  • Rest-based grazing system enabling the landscape time to recover and set seed between growing periods.

Environmental Education/Interaction

  • Provide commentary on local flora, fauna and geological formations on the Gorge tour
  • Birdwatching
  • Marked walking trails

Shade and ground surface temperature reduction

  • Trees and lawn

Dust Suppression

  • Lawn area around camp sites
  • Dustless coarse gravel spread on roads and caravan bays
  • Water dusty areas

Waste Disposal

  • Disposed of in appropriate manner 2km away
  • Containers for Change – bins provided for personal drink containers which are collected by the agent from Tom Price

Power Supply

  • Solar/Diesel hybrid

 Local Community Involvement

  • Member of the Tom Price Visitor Centre – brochures and poster are displayed
  • Provide Shire maps of the area
  • Host school groups
  • Donate camping packages to not for profit organizations
  • Donation tin for RFDS

Cultural Engagement

  • Accommodate local indigenous groups while conducting Heritage Surveys in the area.
