SEASONAL TOURIST ACCOMMODATION RATE POLICY

Full payment is required at time of booking.

Cancellation of booking 14 days or more prior to check-in is refunded in full, less a $25.00 cancellation fee.

Cancellation of booking less than 14 days prior to check-in will be considered non-refundable.

No refunds for early departures.

In the event wilderness campsites are closed due to environmental conditions, such as weather, the standard cancellation fees above apply.

Wilderness campers arriving after 4:00pm will not be permitted to travel to their site until the following day. A site on the main campground will be offered if available, alternatively an overflow site will be provided. No refunds for sites or gorge access will be issued in this instance.

Up to 24 hours prior to arrival, guests may request to change dates within the current season with no extra fees (as an example, possible reasons for the change may be due to weather or family illness).
TOUR GROUP & SCHOOL CAMP POLICY (for one bulk payment)

All guests regardless of age (students, teachers and parents) are charged at adult accommodation rates.

Unless prior arrangements have been made, a 50% deposit is required at time of booking. The remaining 50% is invoiced 14 days prior to check-in based on confirmed numbers and is due 7 days from date of invoice.

ITO POLICY

Cancellation of booking 7 days or more prior to check-in there is no charge.

Any cancellation less than 7 days prior to check-in, the first night's accommodation will be charged in full to the ITO.

SEASONAL TOURIST DINNER CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICIES

Cancellations for dinner bookings made prior to April 1, 2026, must be received by 2:00 pm the previous day to receive a full refund.

Cancellations for dinner bookings made on or after April 1, 2026 - No refund for cancellation less than 14 days prior to the dinner booking. Cancellations for dinner bookings 14 days or more prior to the dinner booking are refunded in full, less a $25 cancellation fee.

In the unfortunate occurrence a guest is unhappy with a meal, a refund will not be issued, nor an alternative menu option offered.
CORPORATE POLICY

Agreement of payment via Purchase Order or credit card on departure or weekly basis, whichever comes first.

For lengthy, bulk bookings the first week’s charges may be required at time of booking and will be requested at the discretion of Cheela Plains Station Stay.

No refund for any cancellations or alterations to bookings less than 24 hours in advance.

Cancellations between 24-72 hours in advance are charged at 50% (2:00 PM cut off).

Minimum of 72 hours required for cancellations or alterations without penalty (2:00 PM cut off).
CANCELLATIONS DUE TO GOVERNMENT TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS
Where a customer cancels due to Government restrictions that are either not removed as expected, extended, or reimposed, the customer will be contacted and offered a refund or credit note (to be used later), where such an offer is at the absolute discretion of the operator. The operator reserves the right to withhold some monies to cover administrative expenses and other losses, dependent on when notice of cancellation is given by the customer.
KEY RETURN AND TRACK USAGE POLICY

Guests are required to return their 4x4 Safari gate key prior to departure. Failure to do so will incur a fee of $50.

All visitors must comply with posted road signs throughout the property for safety and operational reasons.

Cheela Plains Station is an active cattle station, and certain tracks are reserved for staff use only. These tracks are not accessible to guests. Guests must restrict their driving to the designated tracks as indicated on the provided property map. If any guest is found driving outside these approved areas, their booking will be cancelled immediately, and no refund will be issued.
MECHANICAL SERVICES AND BREAKDOWNS
Fees apply for all recoveries, services and breakdowns as per schedule of rates. The guest must agree to rates prior to any work by Cheela Plains staff.
PET POLICY
Pets are permitted on leads but are not allowed to enter accommodation. The extra cleaning fee of $75 will be charged if evidence of pets is found in accommodation. This does not apply to seeing eye dogs.
EXTRA CLEANING FEE
A fee of $75 is charged where excessive cleaning is required. This includes rooms with lingering cigarette smoke.
SMOKING POLICY
Smoking is allowed in designated areas only.
ALL GUESTS STAYING AT CHEELA PLAINS STATION STAY AGREE TO:

ensure that all occupants treat the Property and all fittings with reasonable care and you agree to pay for any damage caused by misuse, neglect or abuse during your occupancy.

ensure that all occupants act in a manner that does not cause any nuisance or disturbance to nearby occupiers.
-
comply with all applicable laws and with the regulations.
-
to vacate the Property in a reasonably clean condition, including all barbeques and other fittings.
-
pay any reasonable excess cleaning fees if the Property is not left in a clean condition.
-
not exceed the maximum number of occupants specified in the Booking Agreement.
GUEST ACCOUNTABILITY
Failure to comply with the terms and conditions outlined in your booking confirmation, which includes but is not exclusive to, damages caused to your accommodation/campground site and its contents, breach of campground guidelines and overstaying will be subject to additional charges. Cheela Plains Station Stay reserves the right to deduct these charges, in addition to accommodation, to the presented credit or debit card supplied at check-in.
